How To Apply

The George A. Moore Foundation provides support to registered charities based in North and West Yorkshire.

Please note, we do not support the following:

  • Individuals
  • Courses of study
  • Overseas travel
  • Holidays
  • Purposes outside the UK

Please include with your application all relevant details for the funding requested, a contact email address and, if applying for funding for a specific project, include details of the total funding required, funds raised to date and the charity’s proposals to raise any shortfall.

The next quarterly trustee meeting to discuss general applications for funding is going to take place on Tuesday 16th August 2022. The deadlines for applications to be considered during this meeting is Friday 5th August.

It is not necessary to enclose annual accounts with your application, but these may be requested at a later stage.

The Trustees meet quarterly in February, May, August and November each year. All decisions will be communicated by either post or email as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, due to the large volume of applications that the Trust receives, we are unable to provide feedback on individual applications, nor is there an appeals process.

Applicants should note that, should you wish to re-apply, further applications will only be considered 12 months from the date of any previous application.

If your application is successful, you can ONLY reapply to The Foundation 12 months after the date on the letter you received.
